Good luck with your efforts to track down where the DOS attacks are coming from, some fairly severe penalties if a case is taken and proven.

For the last 12 months the site has been subjected to fairly regular denial of service attacks.  I close one door and they attack through another.  Today there were 600 connections per second for a period.  

I have been accumulating log files and have a fair idea who has initiated the problem.  The next stage is to submit those logs to the authorities along with other identifying information.

The question that should be asked is who benefits from bringing down a racing forum in New Zealand that allegedly has no traffic?

Another Denial of Service attack this morning, seems to coincide with the Dogs transparency issues being raised.  Is that a coincidence or not, or should we just add it to the list of anti behaviour.

I wouldn't worry too much about the threats Hesi.  I'm sure most intelligent people can see the hypocrisy in his protestations given what is posted on his site.

BTW Leigh Mckenzie if you were up to speed with modern IT you'd know that the ads served by Google on BOAY do NOT consume BOAY server resources.  If they did Google Adsense wouldn't have such a succesful business model.

Precisely.  Both Sir David Ellis and Karyn Fenton-Ellis have been honoured by NZ/King/Queen for services to Racing as well as the community.  They both command a lot of respect both in Racing and the wider community.  Yet the owner of that toxic anti-racing site allows some appalling abusive posts directed at them to be published without moderation.  Yes only a small number of the usual red neck suspects do it but at the end of the day it crosses the line of respect and common decency.  All with the misguided belief that it increases online traffic!

The really unbelieveable aspect of all their nonsense, aside from the fact the don't substantiate anything, is the belief that they can hide behind anonymity while doing it while extoling what they see as their own identifying achievements.
