I see Victorian trainer Gerry O’Keefe, aka Ring The Bell, has returned for another go at The Collar with Billy’s Bake and Vandagambo.

Billy’s Bake looks the better of the two on paper but what did people think of their trial on Sunday ?

Billy’s Bake - 78 Starts. 20-16-14  = $164,665  https://fasttrack.grv.org.au/Dog/Form/1608330002

Vandagambo - 27 Starts. 5-8-2 = $19,594   https://fasttrack.grv.org.au/Dog/Form/128006011

Rippin' Sam - 40 Starts. 15-10-6 = $355,512  https://fasttrack.grv.org.au/Dog/Form/128631317

Ebby Ripper - 109 Starts. 28-24-20 = $297,521 https://fasttrack.grv.org.au/Dog/Form/1428630000

Some very well credentialed dogs lining up this year should be a cracker.. On current ability Weslyn would have a comfortable margin I'd say but the race isn't at Addington. At there best Ebby Ripper and Rippin Sam would be short priced favs, but at there best they wouldn't be anywhere near NZ when Sandown Cup was on last week for 250K. Don't doubt Weslyn will run the trip if she can roll along in front. Billy's Blake is pretty handy at his best but recent racing is at Angle Park which isn't very strong, not contesting Group races. No idea how they trialled. I'd go 3,6,1,2 in Heat 1 and 2,7,4,5 in Heat 2.
