Question for curious

Yep.

NZ rule:

653 A horse that has been subjected to any form of shock wave therapy shall be ineligible to Race or participate in any trial (including a jump-
out or test for certification purposes) in the seven days immediately following such treatment.

Thanks curious.

Another question. Would that include magnetic pulse blankets and boots?

Nope. Specific to shock wave therapy which seems to have a painkilling/numbing effect lasting at least 3-4 days after administration. It is completely banned in some US jurisdictions and up to 3 weeks in advance of racing in others. Very hard to police though, especially in the NZ context where many horses are trained from private facilities rather than being stabled at the track and anyone can buy and use the gear. Can't recall an investigation or prosecution for violation here?

p.s. I don't know, but I suspect the resident veterinarian on the other channel would say the effectiveness of magnetic blankets and boots is equivalent to sprinkling hundreds and thousands on them. Perhaps, he'll sign up to this cesspit and confirm or otherwise.

Oh yep..

haha...you should have heard Gobbder on the wireless the other day...trying to explain why it was 'different'

...he has a unique 'suits' way about him...and hid the fact very nicely...

...that Pike was so ignorant about 'da rules'...the EXACT same rules....he even wrote it in the book for the Feds to see...

..then got sucked in by his excuse...ignorance is no excuse but when it comes to a wide eyed NZ trainer...

...they're not going to admit post fine...they got blind folded by Pikey..

I have a funny feeling we won't be seeing his wonderous presence on here. Who needs him anyway? The resident ADHD kid has just joined.
