Demi O’Byrne, for so long an integral part of the Coolmore/Ballydoyle purchasing axis at yearling sales, has formed a new partnership with bloodstock agent Sean Grassick. The pair, who have been working together informally for the past four years have recently launched O’Byrne & Grassick International Bloodstock Agency and will be in attendance at all the major sales in Europe, USA and Australia.

O’Byrne has purchased a long list of champions in his illustrious career to date and over 70 individual Group 1 winners worldwide. These include the likes of Montjeu (Ire), Camelot (GB) and Dr Devious (Ire) in Europe, Thunder Gulch and Rags To Riches in America and the recently deceased Atlantic Jewel (Aus) in Australia.

Sean Grassick has gained industry experience in a wide range of areas including at Coolmore Stud and with trainer Wesley Ward and has worked alongside O’Byrne at sales since 2016. The new alliance has also launched a website www.obyrneandgrassick.ie and Grassick is looking forward to getting the agency up and running.

“We are delighted to have launched O’Byrne & Grassick recently and look forward to a busy sales season both in the coming months and the years ahead,” he said.
