The Sept. 24 Goffs Million, the richest 2-year-old race in Europe with a purse of €1 million, has attracted 79 nominations at the latest entry stage. There are 45 colts and 34 fillies entered, with 38 trained in Ireland, an equal number in the UK, two trained in America and one in France at Chantilly. The next forfeit stage is on Tuesday, Sept. 20, before final declarations on Thursday, Sept. 22.

Open exclusively to graduates of the Goffs Orby Sale, one of the most notable entries is the winning Hiawatha (Ire) (Camelot {GB}), last year's top-priced colt out of the sale at €1.2 million for Aidan O'Brien and the Coolmore partners. The full-brother to two-time Group 1 winner Luxembourg (Ire) (Camelot {GB}) is joined by G2 July S. hero Persian Force (Ire) (Mehmas {Ire}), who has been placed twice at the highest level for Amo Racing. Leading the fillies is the Joseph O'Brien-trained seven-furlong maiden winner Zoinnocent (Ire) (Zoffany {Ire}), who was runner-up in the G3 Silver Flash S. for US owner Eric Long. The 2021 Orby topper, a €1.5-million daughter of Galileo (Ire) and GI Frizette S. heroine Nickname (Scat Daddy), has also been entered. Named Starry Eyed (Ire), she has yet to race for the Coolmore partners.

Other winners entered in the Curragh contest include New Endeavour (Ire) (New Bay {GB}), Beauty Crescent (Ire) (Acclamation {GB}), Bossy Parker (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}), Hellsing (Ire) (Dandy Man {Ire}), Hope You Can Run (Ire) (Lope De Vega {Ire}), Impact Warrior (Ire) (Saxon Warrior {Jpn}), Ma Belle Artiste (Ire) (Zoffany {Ire}), Killybegs Warrior (Ire) (Saxon Warrior {Jpn}), Magical Sunset (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}), Queen Of Ours (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}), Wahaaj (Ire) (Gregorian {Ire}), All Things Nice (Ire) (Sioux Nation) and Ramazan (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}).

Goffs Group Chief Executive Henry Beeby said, “The introduction of the Goffs Million was a huge hit with buyers at last year's Orby Sale, and the entries are as exciting and packed full of quality as we hoped and we can't wait for the big day in 10 days' time. We are proud to be bringing Europe's richest 2-year-old race to The Curragh and then offering next year's contenders at Kildare Paddocks in the following days. Irish breeders are the best in the world and are sending more of their best to Orby making it truly unmissable for international buyers.”
