Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted September 18, 2022 Journalists Share Posted September 18, 2022 Klaravich Stables' FAITH IN HUMANITY (FR) (f, 3, Lope de Vega {Ire}–Sharavana {GB}, by Fastnet Rock {Aus}) was given a perfectly judged ride from the front by Manny Franco and led every step of the way en route to a mild upset of her favored stablemate Gina Romantica (Into Mischief) in Sunday's GIII Pebbles S. at the Belmont at the Big A meet. Bahamian Club (Ire) (Kingman {GB}) made it a top-three sweep for the Chad Brown barn. Exiting a runner-up effort behind Gina Romantica in the restricted Riskaverse S. at Saratoga Aug. 25, the €240,000 Arqana September yearling acquisition was accorded a 5-1 chance and made the lead with relative ease, guiding them along through a moderate half-mile. Held together on the turn, she was asked for a sprint once heads were turned for home and the wire got there in time. Gina Romantica sat a wide trip beneath Flavien Prat and was forced to cover ground while rallying smartly on the turn. But she was flushed out about five deep into the lane and could not quite peg back Faith in Humanity, who becomes the 101st stakes winner and 60th group/graded winner for Lope de Vega. The latter is the sire of Klaravich's outstanding MGISW Newspaperofrecord (Ire). Sales history: €240,000 Ylg '20 ARQSEP.
