This dog was a late scratching yesterday at Addington and received a 7 day stand down.

Yet it was nominated and accepted into the fields for this coming Friday?

Can anyone come up with any reason why this has been allowed?

Ok thanks. Wasn't aware the nom dates close so different down there to up here.

One would think all the clubs would have the same amount of days prior to noms closing, on doing some reading now Addington is only 3 days sometimes where as Manawatu is normally 6!

manawatu is 4 working days.

Technically correct. But that makes no difference to trainers or dogs, they still work and race on the weekends.

It should still be the same amount of days for every club to take noms and put heir fields out, some trainers clearly getting the advantage of getting to race for double acceptances etc over others with such a big difference in closing times.

It would not make any difference if Manawatu closed the nomination on a Tuesday or Wednesday tho would it ? They could close them on the Thursday but that would clash with Wanganuis nominations for the following week .so you could in theory make Wanganui close the nomination for Wednesday on the Friday would be the only solution. But what difference would this make ? All dogs should be getting the chance to run out nomination has to be better for the owner and trainer?
