With a spring in his step down the lane, Boyd (Violence–A Taste of Red, by Street Boss) fired his best shot in the Ed Brown Stakes at Churchill Downs on Saturday and netted his first black-type. Named a 'TDN Rising Star, presented by Hagyard' after his first career race at Del Mar in early September, the colt was heavily-favored at odds of 3-5 here. Boyd allowed Gallivant (Into Mischief) to win the first jump, but the 2-year-old was able to cruise down the lane to score by three lengths in the end. Big Dom (McKinzie) was the runner-up. The final running time was 1:15.58. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0. Sales History: $82,000 '23 FTKNOV; $280,000 '24 ; $1.05-million '25 EASMAY. 3rd-CD, 120K, Msw, 3yo/up, f, 6f, 1:56 p.m. John Gunther and Eurowest Bloodstock debut their homebred filly FIRE MOON (Justify), a half-sister to GI Hollywood Derby winner and young sire Mo Town (Uncle Mo). First dam Grazie Mill has also produced Fire Moon's full-sister in MSW/MGSP Justique who just sold earlier in the month at Keeneland for $2,000,000 to Whisper Hill Farm. Yet another half-sister, Vita Bella (Super Save), is responsible for Kentucky Juvenile Stakes winner West Memorial (Caracaro). Gunther picked up second dam Molto Vita for just $24,000 as a weanling at Keeneland November in 2000. Cherie DeVaux trains the 3-year-old and will give the leg up to Irad Ortiz Jr. Rail-drawn Wicked One (Bolt d'Oro) makes a second start for Steve Asmussen after running seventh in her Keeneland debut Oct. 12. The $1.25m Fasig-Tipton Tipton Midlantic grad will add the blinkers for owner Winchell Thoroughbreds. The FanDuel Racing Turf Festival concludes Sunday afternoon with a trio of graded events at Del Mar, topped by an intriguing renewal of the GI Matriarch Stakes over a mile. Ag Bullet (Twirling Candy) made the majority of the running in this event 12 months ago, yielding grudgingly to finish a length behind Sacred Wish (Not This Time) in third. That effort came on the back of a near-miss third in the GI Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint, and the grey is arguably in the same sort of form, having run home gamely to round out a female exacta underneath 'TDN Rising Star' presented by Hagyard Shisospicy (Mitole) in this year's Turf Sprint 29 days ago. Her connections turned down $2.9 million at the Fasig-Tipton November Sale earlier this month and the 3-1 morning-line choice breaches the $3-million threshold in earnings with at least a runner-up effort here. Segesta (Ghostzapper) has twice gone within a length of Grade I glory, missing by three-parts of a length in the 2024 Belmont Oaks over 9 1/2 furlongs and failing by just a neck when last seen in Keeneland's First Lady Stakes over this trip on Oct. 4. Chad Brown has unsaddled the Matriarch winner six times in the last eight runnings, while Juddmonte Farm runners have prevailed on no fewer than seven occasions, including the Brown-conditioned Viadera (GB) (Bated Breath {GB}) in 2022. Vibez (Collected) hasn't had the best luck at the draw of late, finishing a half-length second in a local allowance from gate 10 of 10 July 31 and overcoming the 11 hole in a field of 12 and a wide passage to win the Oct. 13 Swingtime Stakes at Santa Anita. The last time the dark bay drew a favorable gate, she easily handled easier by better than three lengths here on Aug. 30 and she has the benefit of the four Sunday afternoon. The first of the afternoon's features is the GIII Cecil B. DeMille Stakes, headed by the class-dropping Hey Nay Nay (Ire) (No Nay Never). A highly impressive winner of the five-furlong Tyro Stakes at Monmouth in August and of the GIII Del Mar Juvenile Turf over track and distance Sept. 7, the dark bay was the distant second betting choice in the GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Oct. 31, but overraced through the early stages and weakened out to finish 10th. He'll be sent from the widest alley in this field of seven, but there is stretchout speed inside of him. Iriseach (Ire) (Ubettabelieveit {Ire}) has a puncher's chance as he looks to remain perfect going long. An even fourth in a six-furlong maiden at Santa Anita Oct. 12, he sat a good inside trip when tried over a mile in Arcadia Oct. 30 and game running late to cause an 18-1 upset. The race shape could flatter a runner with a come-from-behind profile. Hope Road (Quality Road) is difficult to oppose in Sunday's GIII Bayakoa Stakes, a race she won by a half-length at 30 cents on the dollar last season. A repeat of that performance by this year's GI Ballerina Stakes heroine likely wins this, but it is fair to question whether the mile is her best gig and she was more than a little disappointing when a well-beaten third as the 11-10 pick in the GI Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint Nov. 1. Oh to be a bigger fish in a smaller pond. Coming in at 170,000gns, West Moor Stud's Havana Grey colt didn't just stand out on the final day of the Tattersalls December Foal Sale, he towered above the opposition. Bought on behalf of Yeomanstown Stud by bloodstock agent Hamish Macauley, the Havana Grey colt was said to have stacked up well even against the Friday foals. “The best foal here today and he would have stood up well yesterday,” Macaulay said shortly after signing the docket. “He has size and scope and will be re-offered next year. I think a lot of people appeared around the ring in the last 20 minutes before this guy went through! We had that sort of mark on him and I think the market is unbelievably strong.” Not only did the crowds appear around the ring for the Havana Grey colt, but the footfall at Park Paddocks for the Saturday session was much stronger than in previous years. It showed in the statistics. Despite the clearance rate falling by 9% to 69%, turnover on Saturday climbed by 6% to 2,395,700gns while the median was up by 17% to 14,000gns and the average by 14% to 19,166gns. The Saturday session-topping colt is out of black-type Exceed And Excel mare Thesme. He was bred by West Moor Stud's Simon Chappell and, speaking on behalf of the outfit, Kate Sigsworth said, “It has been a brilliant week. We have been really busy, which is great as you know you are going to sell well then. It is just a big thank you to everyone who helps at home – it is such a big team to get to this point. I'd also like to thank Yeomanstown as the farm has been a really good supporter of us. This foal was bred on the same cross as Vandeek and he has not put a foot wrong here all week. He is a young foal so there should be some improvement in him still. I'd like to give a shout out to the stallion owners, Ed Harper at Whitsbury Stud, as he has been brilliant with Havana Grey. He made his name with smaller breeders and he really does try to help British breeders.” She added, “I think the main feeling is relief and satisfaction. The mare was very fast and was raced by Simon. She went to Havana Grey for last year's foal and got a filly, who has been retained and will go into training with Ed Bethell. It was on the strength of her that we went back. She was a late foal and we had not booked anything in for the mare, so I rang Whitsbury as Simon was thinking of Sergei Prokofiev as we thought Havana Grey would be full. I was chatting to Joe Callan, who asked about the filly, and when I told him that the foal is very nice, he said that Havana Grey had a lot of early mares and that he was more or less finished. He said that if we'd like to use him we could so I said, 'yes please!' Simon is in Costa Rica and there is a time difference, so I will ring him on the way home once he has properly woken up. I have messaged and he got back to me and said, 'very happy Kate, thanks very much!'” Chaldean Colt Puts Cherry On Top Of Memorable Week The strong demand for the progeny of 2,000 Guineas winner Chaldean carried over into the Saturday session as, just three lots after the sale-topping Havana Grey, a colt by the young stallion was knocked down to Baroda Stud's Padraic Gahan at 78,000gns. The Chaldean colt was consigned by Jamie Railton and is out of the black-type Sea The Stars mare Yarrow. Gahan, who signed under Carrigeen North, said, “Myself and David [Cox] saw him this morning and we liked him. We were watching the Chaldeans selling during the week and he's a sire we wanted to use during the year but didn't get the chance to. We would have liked one, so we got one now and he'll be offered for resale next year. Chaldean's progeny is very nice and this is a very good-moving colt. The mare has produced two highly-rated horses as well as being highly-rated herself, and she has a New Bay coming along for her, too.” On the market, he added, “It seems as though everybody is still here. The mares are starting to show now, too, so I'd better get back to my day job!” Chaldean proved to be one of the hottest stallions of the week with 25 of his foals selling for an average of 107,440gns. Mahony Lauds Strong Trade Turnover fell by 13% to 37,893,400gns at this year's December Foal Sale while the clearance rate stayed the same at 78%. The median climbed by 2% to 30,500gns while the average was down by 13% to 58,659gns. Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony said, “The Tattersalls December Foal Sale has long been Europe's premier foal sale thanks to the unwavering support of British and Irish breeders, and they have been rewarded with a sale that has produced a record median, alongside an average and turnover that have only been surpassed once – by last year's extraordinary results. “We have seen the highest-priced colt and filly sold in Europe this year, including the 1,150,000 guineas Frankel colt from James Wigan's West Blagdon Stud. This represents the third-highest price ever achieved for a colt foal in Europe and is a fitting tribute to a consignment that is consistently one of the highlights of Europe's premier foal sale.” He added, “The sale's market-leading status is further underlined by eight of the top ten prices in Britain and Ireland this year, a median that stands 40 per cent higher than that of our nearest competitor, and unrivalled average and turnover figures. The number of lots realising 50,000 guineas or more has also reached a record level. “In addition to the continued support of the many pinhookers from Britain, Ireland, and further afield, Park Paddocks has once again attracted a substantial number of end-users, with buyers from China, Japan, and the USA joining their counterparts from across the Gulf and throughout Europe. The diversity at the top of the purchasers' list is particularly gratifying, with the top ten lots bought by ten different individuals. “We now look forward to the Tattersalls December Mares Sale, which features an outstanding collection of fillies and mares within the Sceptre Sessions, and to welcoming the usual wide cross-section of buyers to Tattersalls for Europe's premier breeding stock sale.” Dragon Symbol Solidifies His Status One of the fascinating subplots to this sale has been the market's positive reaction to Whitsbury's young stallion Dragon Symbol, who averaged 32,744gns for 41 foals sold. Kinsale Stud was one of many breeders to benefit from that strong debut performance when selling a colt out of a sister to the speedy Star Of Lady M and from the family of Fantastic Light to Paddy Vaughan of Moanmore Stables for 60,000gns. Consignor Richard Kempster said, “We are chuffed to bits – he deserved that kind of money as he has been a gorgeous colt all the way. We have always thought he was very smart and the pressure has been on to get him ready for today. We wanted to sell today as we felt we could be a bit of a standout on day four but I do think he would have stood out any day.” On selecting Dragon Symbol, Kempster added, “We wanted to keep the speed element and Whitsbury has been doing a great job with first-season sires so we have been following the farm for the last couple of years. He is a lovely stamp of a stallion himself and we thought he'd suit the mare. It was very nerve-wracking when this foal was going around the ring, but it has all come right on the day and it is a big sigh of relief! A big thanks goes to the team at home.” Thought for the day Be it yearlings or foals, the top end of the market has never been stronger. That's all well and good but a very small cohort of breeders are operating within that sphere. What played out here on Saturday is more representative of the breeding sector in Britain and it was brilliant to see so many smaller operators get a good payday. In many ways, it's just as important that those breeders get their day in the sun and, regardless of pedigree, the nicer foals were well-received by the market on Saturday. For the Ladies (f, 2, Upstart–Lovely Marissa, by Proud Citizen) served as the favorite on debut during the Belmont At The Big A meet Oct. 5 and missed by a nose. The 6-5 choice here fired out of the rail gate and immediately set the tone up the backstretch. Making every pole a winning one through the far turn, the filly poured on the speed entering the lane and ran up the score to graduate by 7 1/4 lengths over It's Carol's Way (McKinzie). A half-sister to SW Nasty, (Street Sense), the winner's dam is responsible for a weanling colt by Dialed In and she was bred to Kingsbarns for next term. 1st-Aqueduct, $79,050, Msw, 11-29, 2yo, f, 6f, 1:10.98, ft, 7 1/4 lengths. Having already conquered trips of 1200 meters and 1400 meters on the dirt, owner Hajime Satomi's immaculately bred Satono Voyage (Jpn) (Into Mischief) successfully negotiated a stretchout to the metric mile and reported home a comfortable 1 1/2-length winner of Saturday's $194,621 Cattleya Stakes, good for 10 points on the Japan Road to the Kentucky Derby. The 1600-meter contest is run under allowance conditions around a left-handed bend at Tokyo Racecourse. The son of Brazilian Horse of the Year and three-times North American graded winner Jolie Olimpica (Brz) (Drosselmeyer) had annexed those two previous tries on the main track by some 15 combined lengths and the betting public sent him off as the $1.70 (7-10) favorite in a field that also included $1-million OBS March grad Magna Victor (Maxfield), named a 'TDN Rising Star' presented by Hagyard off a nine-length debut score in September, and Arcadia Cafe (Into Mischief), a half-brother to Tokyo stakes winners champion Cafe Pharoah (American Pharoah) and Luxor Cafe (American Pharoah). Off to an uneventful beginning from gate four, Satono Voyage was ridden positively by Keita Tosaki and was an inside third chasing a moderate early tempo before easing off the inside and into the clear with 1000 meters to travel. Allowed to creep into contention three deep with about three furlongs to race, the bay colt was held together into the long Tokyo straight and traveled strongly as Magna Victor and Arcadia Cafe came with challenges outside and inside, respectively. Magna Victor was soon hard at it and retreated, and Satono Voyage put away Arcadia Cafe inside the final furlong before staying on nicely for the victory. Don Erectus (Jpn) (Danon Legend), the 132-1 second roughest chance in the field of 12, covered his final 600 meters in a race-fastest :36.4 to finish second. The winner was home in a respectable :37.1, while Magna Victor, the 3-2 second choice, was beaten 11 lengths into ninth. Just 39 years of age, Hiroyasu Tanaka knows how to train a top horse on the main track, having helped orchestrate the career of two-time G1 Champions Cup hero and dual Japanese champion dirt horse Lemon Pop (Lemon Drop Kid), who took this event in 2020 at his second career start. He clearly relishes what might lie ahead for Satono Voyage. “The Kentucky Derby is of course one of the most prestigious races that this quality of horse can target, but it's not easy to say at this point whether we will target the Kentucky Derby,” Tanaka said in an impromptu post-race press conference, attended by TDN's Emma Berry on-site in Tokyo. “Before this race I was thinking about the [Feb. 14 G3] Saudi Derby if he ran well here. I will talk to the jockey after this and see what he thinks, but it is one of the options.” Asked if he would consider the G2 UAE Derby (1900m) to earn extra points towards Kentucky, Tanaka replied, “I just want to concentrate on the next race, which might be the Saudi Derby.” Among Tanaka's other stable stars is Rousham Park (Jpn) (Harbinger {GB}), a neck second to Rebel's Romance (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}) in the 2024 GI Breeders' Cup Turf, and the trainer admits that Japan's success on American soil has fed his desire to travel one over. “Forever Young's great performance has certainly encouraged us, and me, to send horses overseas, including America,” he said, referring to this year's GI Breeders' Cup Classic. “This horse has a lot of potential and I am personally very happy to be able to train a horse of this caliber. He's by Into Mischief, whose crops do very well in the United States, and I think he has a good chance to perform well in the U.S. as well. “Going into a race with two turns will be one of the tasks for him because he hasn't raced over that distance so I would like to be able to condition him to handle two turns. I've been training top dirt horses in my stable so my next aim is to get my first win in an overseas Grade I race.” Jolie Olimpica, also a Sovereign Award winner, was purchased by Shimokobe Farm for $675,000 carrying a full-brother to Satono Voyage at the 2021 Fasig-Tipton November Sale, and the mare was bred back to the Spendthrift stallion prior to her export to Japan, where she foaled Satono Voyage on Apr. 3, 2023. Breeders' Cup Classic-winning broodmare sire Drosselmeyer is a son of Distorted Humor, and the cross of Into Mischief over mares going back to the latter's sire Forty Niner has been sensationally productive, accounting for the likes of Grade I winners Life Is Good, Goldencents, Practical Joke, Citizen Bull, the recently retired Patch Adams and Tappan Street. Jolie Olimpica did not produce a foal to the cover of Contrail (Jpn) in 2024 and is responsible for a weanling colt by Horse of the Year Equinox (Jpn). The Japan Road to the Kentucky Derby continues with the Zen-Nippon Nisai Yushun (1600m around two turns) at Kawasaki Dec. 17 (20-10-6-4-2), the Listed Hyacinth Stakes back at Tokyo on Feb. 2, 2026 (30-15-9-6-3) and the Fukuryu Stakes (allowance) over 1800 meters at Nakayama Mar. 28, 2026 (40-20-12-8-4). Saturday's Results: CATTLEYA S. (Allowance), ¥30,400,000 ($194,621), Tokyo, 11-29, 3yo, 1600m, 1:37.2, ft. 1–SATONO VOYAGE (JPN), 126, c, 2, Into Mischief–Jolie Olimpica (Brz), by Drosselmeyer. Group 1-winning juvenile Scorthy Champ will stand at Barton Stud in 2026 and his fee has been set at £8,500. The son of Mehmas was trained by Joseph O'Brien to win the National Stakes at the Curragh last year. He finished that season with an official rating of 117, which makes him the joint-highest two-year-old of 2024 to retire to stud in the UK in 2025 – and second only to Shadow Of Light in Europe. Standing Scorthy Champ marks a new venture for Tom Blain's Barton Stud, which is located just over 15 miles from Newmarket and has specialised in breeding top-quality thoroughbreds for the sales ring and global racing. Blain said, “It's always been my dream to stand stallions. We have built the business up over the last 10 years and this feels like a natural and incredibly exciting step for us. “Despite the much-discussed headwinds we are facing as an industry, especially here in the UK, I remain excited and optimistic about what can be achieved with the right horses. “We are absolutely thrilled to have secured Scorthy Champ for the 2026 breeding season. We've been looking very hard for a stallion throughout the year and he was always right up there on our wish-list. The truth is we thought he would be unattainable, so it's fantastic we've been able to acquire a horse that ticks as many boxes as he does.” He added, “Scorthy Champ hails from a superb family. His dam Fidaaha has produced multiple stakes performers such as Malavath, a Group 2 winner and twice a Group 1 runner-up, and Knight, who was victorious in the Group 3 Horris Hill Stakes. Second dam Ceist Eile's offspring includes two Group winners and also an unraced daughter Ceistiu, mother of 2025 Glorious Goodwood Group 3 Gordon Stakes victor Merchant. “Physically, Scorthy Champ, is an incredibly good-looking horse from a famously attractive family. He possesses plenty of size, scope and an impressive walk. I feel he offers breeders across Europe real value. We are selling limited breeding rights in the horse. The deal is highly attractive to investors, who I hope will be with us for the long term on this journey.” Blain's team are due to take charge of Scorthy Champ in the coming days and the horse will be available to see from mid-December. Blain welcomes breeder enquiries at Tom@bartonstud.co.uk and archie@bartonstud.co.uk. Runaway GII Fasig-Tipton Risen Star Stakes winner and GI Pennsylvania Derby runner-up Magnitude (c, 3, Not This Time–Rockadelic, by Bernardini) put it all together in his first start against older horses, capturing the 151st running of the GII Clark Stakes at Churchill Downs Friday. Off from the outside as the 2-1 favorite, he pressured early pacesetter and GIII West Virginia Derby winner Chunk of Gold (Preservationist) through the :23.21 first quarter, then backed off a bit to track behind Chunk of Gold's :47.07 half. Magnitude began moving up on the turn at the same time G1 Dubai World Cup hero Hit Show (Candy Ride {Arg}) advanced from midpack, then took command despite Chunk of Gold not relenting easily. The ultra-game latter sophomore fought back and the two appeared to brush, with Chunk of Gold only giving way grudgingly in the last strides as Magnitude swapped to his wrong lead and Hit Show joined the fray late. Magnitude held his advantage, winning by about a half-length over Hit Show, with Chunk of Gold another head back. The final time for the 1 1/8 miles was 1:48.69. “In the second turn, I started moving forward and he did the rest,” said winning jockey Jose Ortiz. Last seen finishing second to Baeza (McKinzie) in the Sept. 20 Pennsylvania Derby, Magnitude was also third in the GI Travers Stakes behind dual Classic winner Sovereignty (Into Mischief). He captured the Iowa Derby July 5 at Prairie Meadows after nearly five months on the sidelines after coming out of a 108 Beyer tour-de-force in the Risen Star Feb. 15 with a bone chip. WHAT A FINISH! In dramatic fashion, Glorious Boy awarded his freshman sire Independence Hall (by Constitution) his first stakes winner in Friday's Pulpit Stakes. He didn't have much luck earlier in the summer on the main track at Saratoga, though he was meant for the turf initially on debut before getting rained onto the dirt upstate. But, once switched to the grass at Aqueduct Sept. 28, he found a nice improvement to his form, breaking his maiden in an optional claimer and running second most recently in the six-furlong Awad Stakes Nov. 9. Shipping into Gulfstream for the first time, the 8-1 shot faced both a weather-necessitated surface switch to Tapeta and a stretch in distance out to the one mile and 70 yards Friday. Bumped at the break, he found himself off the pace in fifth just behind Bronze Bullet while able to save ground from his outside draw just off the rail on the short run into the clubhouse turn. That pair stayed in tight quarters for much of the backstretch run with Glorious Boy swinging out wide for running room outside of his rival. In a joint move with just over a quarter mile to run, the two came for home together with Bronze Bullet hitting the front. As they raced down to the wire, they came together several times late in a head-bobbing dead-heat finish. The stewards immediately hung the inquiry sign as Rajiv Maragh aboard Glorious Boy also lodged an objection against Emisael Jaramillo on Bronze Bullet. After review, Bronze Bullet was disqualified from the dead heat win and placed second with Glorious Boy elevated to solo first. “I objected because there was some contact that I felt impeded my horse,” said Maragh. “In the moment, it was so close I wasn't sure if I won, so I made sure I claimed foul.” Winning trainer Carlos Martin added: “I wasn't sure about the DQ because it seemed like there was some incidental contact both ways. But Stacy Prior, trainer Joe Orseno's assistant who helped us with the horse–Joe and her have been great the whole time we've been here, about 10 days–she said to watch it again because the second time our horse's [behind] kind of went out from underneath him, maybe just enough. A tie is great, but it's better to have the win.” Of Bronze Bullet's DQ, trainer Jose D'Angelo said: “It was a tough call. I think he was tired. They are babies going two turns for the first time.” Freshman sire Independence Hall has 16 winners from his first crop. First dam Love Co, herself a stakes winner in New York, has eight winners from 10 to race including now three stakes performers. Glorious Boy is her last reported foal. #5 GLORIOUS BOY ($19.40) was declared the winner of the $100,000 Pulpit Stakes at @GulfstreamPark after a DQ of #2 Bronze Bullet who originally was involved in a dead heat for the win. @RajivMaragh was up for trainer Carlos Martin and owned by Centurion Thoroughbred Club. pic.twitter.com/P8xRDRFSKM — FanDuel Racing (@FanDuel_Racing) November 28, 2025 PULPIT S., $100,000, Gulfstream, 11-28, 2yo, 1m 70y (AWT) (off turf), 1:40.74, ft. 1–GLORIOUS BOY, 119, g, 2, by Independence Hall 1st Dam: Love Co (SW, $121,881), by Not For Love 2nd Dam: Cozzekiki, by Cozzene 3rd Dam: Raffinierte (Ire), by Surumu (Ger) ($19,000 Wlg '23 KEENOV; $90,000 Ylg '24 FTKOCT). 1ST BLACK TYPE WIN. A few weeks removed from having topped this year's Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale on a bid of $3.7 million from Bill Shiveley's Dixiana Farms, LUSH LIPS (GB) (f, 3, Ten Sovereigns {Ire}–Lamyaa {GB}, by Arcano {Ire}) pounced on long-time leader Classic Q (Classic Empire) with less than a furlong to race in Friday's GII Mrs. Revere Stakes and held off a late dive from East Coast raider Pretty Picture (Munnings) by a long neck as the heavy 1-2 favorite. Exiting a victory in Keeneland's GI Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup about 70 miles east on Interstate 64, Lush Lips hit the ground running from the inside gate, but she was outfooted and was content to lay second, as Classic Q–who ran on from behind to fill the runner-up spot in the GIII Valley View Stakes–reverted to the front-running tactics that saw her annex Saratoga's Wild Applause Stakes and just miss in the GII Lake George Stakes. Taken off the fence approaching the half-mile marker by Tyler Gaffalione, Lush Lips looked to have the front-runner where she wanted her on the turn and into the lane. The Gary Barber runner proved a stubborn rival, in large part owing to a fairly sedate time of things on the engine, but Lush Lips called upon her class to push past for the victory. Pretty Picture flashed home for second, while Classic Q was a very game third. The final time for the 8 1/2 furlongs on fast ground was 1:41.75. In her second trip to post, PASHMINA (f, 2, Constitution–Panthera Onca {MSP}, by Super Saver) graduated from the maiden condition in a big way. The daughter of Constitution was elevated to fifth on debut Oct.18 at Keeneland after a disqualification occurred in front of her after the mile turf maiden concluded. Running with first-time Lasix here, and sent off as the 9-5 favorite for the swap over to the main track, she opted to watch the race unfold from third as the frontrunner posted a pressured pace of :23.29 and a half in :47.44. The looming danger after six panels in 1:13.64 and with the field spinning into the lane, she overhauled Lit Up (City of Light) to stroll home much the best. The victress is the first surviving foal for her dam, and first winner. Panthera Onca, herself a half-sister to Grazie Mille (Bernardini)–mother of GISW Mo Town (Uncle Mo), has since produced a yearling filly named Giclee (Munnings) and was bred to Gun Runner for 2026. The aforementioned sister also claims 'TDN Rising Star, presented by Hagyard' SW & MGSP Justique (Justify), who recently sold for $2-million to Whisper Hill Farm during the 2025 Fasig-Tipton November sale. This is the extended female family of SW West Memorial (Caracaro). 7th-Fair Grounds, $54,000, Msw, 11-28, 2yo, f, 1 1/16m, 1:46.12, ft, 10 3/4 lengths.
