  1. We have one at home who had trouble getting around corners would run wide. When you look at his eyes the pupil shines green and is always enlarged. The stipes requested he get an eye check and he was taken to a canine eye specialist who said he was ok to race daytime but not night time. It sounded like there is a gene that is sometimes passed down. He seems to be the only one in the litter with the problem. After a few more races it became obvious to us he was a danger to himself on the track and others so we retired him. Shame because he could stay like a boy in a lolly shop. He is now just over 4 years old and his sight seems to have deteriorated and he ocassionally bumps into things. But he still enjoys life and a walk most days. But it is definetly something that requires investigation on whether potential breeding dogs/bitches could be tested for the gene and subsequently rehomed and not bred from. It would be a hell of an expensive exercise to have a whole litter with the problem that is for sure?
  2. Thanks Charles but I was in no way trying to get at the trainers with my comments. They were directed at the 2 clowns who felt they had the right to interrogate me but would not have the balls to do so to someone who is way further up the food chain than I will ever be. Personally, I will never forget their effort to bring Dream Collector back from a broken hock to win the 2015 732m Kingston Cup that race gave me chills in the same league as Lord Module winning the 1981 Allan Matson free for all. Awesome.
  3. Hey..... you lot who gave me the Spanish Inquisition over my dogs indescretion a few weeks ago ... Von Luckner aka Teddy where are all the questions to The Faheys over He's Scandalous race 1 yesterday made Ted look like a Choir Boy and not a word said......
  4. Thanks Charles. I am aware they monitor these sites and I wouldn't normally get involved. But I felt the need to join in on this occasion. I usually say what I mean face to face as McInerney senior found out on Tuesday. I do respect your opinion. Take care Sharon
  5. I have never heard of you either Cross codes . although i do usually resonate with your comments regarding how the uncaring pieces of scum big trainers treat their dogs and think they are above the law.
  6. Further to that yankiwi do you really think the 2 was chasing in that race today?
  7. Hi yankiwi. I have been reading tbese blogs for a few months now and i generally.agree with what you.say. i am the trainer of the dog you are talking about here and i have spent many.many months working with this dog getting up in the dark and going to.bed when its dark and doing the hard yards so.his performance today was extremely disappointing but that is racing. There is no defence to the charge of marring that was clear. He certainly.isnt the first to.do it and he.wont.be the.last. What i take.offence to is your comments regarding previous starts. His first start -he.is a railer and all.he did was.try.to get to the.rail.he got wiped out several times by one of Mcinerneys mongrels who has caused chaos before.and continues to do so and get away with it. His 2nd start he got lost on.the corner pure and simple. His 3rd start was a great run at Dunedin never seen the track before and i was rapt with his performance. Dont know what happened with.him.today but he'll still get a good feed tonight and a pat and maybe a few swear words. But he wont emd up.in.an.offal pit like these other mongrel trainers do..he.is a lovely natured dog and a pleasure to do anything with. Thanks Sharon
