Klaravich Stables' Randomized (f, 3, Nyquist–French Passport, by Elusive Quality) soared home a wire-to-wire winner of the GI Alabama S. at Saratoga, giving trainer Chad Brown a sweep of the track's graded races Saturday. The 7-1 shot took the field through fractions of :23.45 and :47.86, while favored Wet Paint (Blame) rated off the pace along the rail. The favorite attempted a rally as Randomized drifted wide at the top of the lane, but she was unable to reel in the winner and came home second best. Defining Purpose (Cross Traffic), who had tracked the pacesetter throughout, checked in third. The time for the 1 1/4 miles was 2:03.07.

Randomized, third in her six-furlong unveiling at Saratoga last July, resurfaced with a maiden-breaking score going one mile at Aqueduct Mar. 31. Never a factor when sixth in the June 9 GI Acorn S., she rebounded with a win in the restricted Wilton S. at Saratoga last time out July 14. The sophomore filly was a $420,000 KEESEP yearling purchase.

Lifetime Record: 5-3-0-1. O-Klaravich Stables. B-Cove Springs LLC (Ky). T-Chad Brown.
