Lulling the field to sleep, Paramount Prince (Society's Chairman–Platinum Steel by Eddington) won the 164th King's Plate S. at Woodbine Racetrack on Sunday afternoon. Last seen celebrating in the winner's circle in Toronto after the Plate Trial S. July 23 with the same tactics, the chestnut gelding at odds of 8-1 secured the front into the first turn and never looked back. Sporting the distinctive pink fuchsia, he went on to win by 1 1/2 lengths despite the best efforts of filly Elysian Field (Hard Spun).

The final running time was 2:01.93. Lifetime Record: 6-3-2-1.

O-Michael J. Langlois and Gary Barber; B-Ericka Nadine Rusnak; T-Mark Casse.
