MaltedMilkshake
Well what happens when you can’t get a race away on time? You lose your TV punting audience. Due to the delay this NZ Grp1 was moved to the second channel on Sky Racing...which is an additional subscription channel....so you’ve lost the bulk of your audience...perhaps someone might like to tell NZTR to give the race clubs are bit of a rev up...to ensure they jump on time... barryb
Be fair man, it was due to a horse being vet checked.
mardigras
I'd say it is simply a reflection of the interest in NZ racing from Australia. And with a race from Flemington scheduled 5 minutes after, that's the way it will be.
Rowley Mile
It happens here in Oz a lot, the deflecting of NZ races onto our secondary channel, mostly because of the slow loading in NZ.......barrier boys seem up to it, so something is wrong somewhere.....I saw where the starters over there were letting the fields go when ''men in front'' and the bloke runs around with an aluminium ladder? that's a great look internationally.....The Japanese starter is actually a performance, and in HK they know how to ensure there a very few escapees......and their events run on time.
