Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted August 28, 2023 Journalists Share Posted August 28, 2023 The unbeaten Globe (NZ) (Charm Spirit) continues to shine ahead of his return to racing next month with rider Jamie Kah enthusiastic about his spring prospects. “He feels super,” she reported from Cranbourne on Monday. “I galloped him on Tuesday and I jumped him out today. “He feels like he’s had four trials already, he’s really fit. His breathing was great and I‘m really looking forward to riding him this spring.” The Gr.2 Feehan Stakes (1600m) at The Valley on September 9 is earmarked for the return of Globe after he began his racing career with four wins from 1400 metres to 1800 metres. He is nominated in both the Gr.1 Cox Plate (2040m) and the Gr.1 Caulfield Cup (2400m), where he is currently ranked a $26 chance. Globe cruised in his 1200-metre trial but Kah warned there would be more to come. “It was a pretty easy trial for him today but his work has been super,” she said. “Actually, when he goes away to Moonee Valley (to gallop) he was even better. He was more focused. I think It was the first time he’d galloped at Moonee Valley. “I think he’s a really, really nice horse. He’s just probably needs a little bit of a sit. If he can find a bum or two he’ll finish his races off even better.” View the full article
