The Group 2 Bobbie Lewis Quality (1200m) has drawn a competitive field of 11 gallopers, with $300,000 on the line for the Flemington straight-six feature.

Benedetta will be looking to continue her unbeaten record for the preparation, opening as a clear +150 favourite after scoring a dominant victory in the Group 3 Cockram Stakes (1200m) on September 2.

The Clinton McDonald-trained gelding Star Patrol (+400) is set to make his return after chasing home Group 1 company in the Newmarket Handicap on March 11 and finds himself on the second line of betting.

King Of Sparta and Najeem Suhail round out the gallopers in the single figures at +700 apiece, with the latter coming through a dominant victory at Moonee Valley on August 26.

It’sourtime (+900), who took out the Group 3 Aurie’s Star Handicap (1200m) on August 5, has a terrific record of seven starts for two wins and four more minor placings at this course and distance.

As the only Group 1 winners in the mix, Zoutori and Startantes bring plenty of class to this field at long odds of +3000 each.

Some of the more interesting runners at big odds with online betting sites include Charterhouse (+1600) resuming for the Ciaron Maher & David Eustace barn, and Minsk Moment (+3300) making his way across from Western Australia after joining the Chris Waller stable.

The 2023 Bobbie Lewis Quality is the penultimate race on the card at Flemington and is set to get underway at 4:55pm AEST.
