The Australian Turf Club has partnered with the Western Australia based RAM Racing Syndicate for the $20 million Everest (1200m) at Royal Randwick on Saturday October 14.

The ATC/Ram Racing slot will be taken by the Bjorn Baker-trained Overpass, managed by prominent NSW and Western Sydney-based syndicator Darby Racing for a large group of owners.

Australian Turf Club Chairman Peter McGauran was delighted to further extend the Everest to WA fans through RAM Racing.

“This partnership brings a wider national perspective and audience to the TAB Everest and RAM Racing’s enthusiasm for being a part of the race is significant,” Mr McGauran said.

“We are also delighted to join with Overpass, our own Warwick Farm trainer Bjorn Baker and Darby Racing who have been long and loyal supporters of Sydney racing.”

RAM Racing CEO Adam Fletcher said: “There is no more exciting race in the world to be involved in than the TAB Everest. I’m delighted to be able to join with the Australian Turf Club.

“We are huge fans of Overpass and with the ATC and Darby Racing will be cheering the house down at the world-famous Royal Randwick on 14 October.’’

Darby Racing Principal Scott Darby said: “We are absolutely thrilled to once again secure a slot for Overpass in the $20 million TAB Everest.

“It’s an honour to represent the ATC in Australia’s premier sprint race and to hear that RAM Racing has partnered with the ATC this year in their slot, it feels like the band is back to together in search of another huge triumph.”
