Auctav Hosts Exclusively Flat Sale Oct. 14

Auctav will conduct its first sale exclusively dedicated to flat horses Saturday, Oct. 14. Offered both online at www.auctav.com and at Haras de Bois Roussel, the catalogue includes horses in training and yearlings, in addition to broodmares and foals.

Highlighting the broodmares:

• Lot 84, an unraced mare by Kendargent (Fr) out of Ice Love (Fr). Consigned by Roc Let Stud, 5-year-old Lovera (Fr), a half-sister to three black-type winners, is offered in foal to Hello Youmzain (Fr).
• Sommerfee (Fr), who is offered as Lot 67. By Casamento (Ire) out of Sommernacht (Ger), she is responsible for four black-type performers. Consigned by Haras de Fergand, the sister to SW and GSP Sommerbend (Ger) sells in foal to Recoletos (Fr).
• Lot 76, Piscine de Ruinart, a 3-year-old filly by Zoffany who is the sister of GSW-Ger and GISP-US Indian Blessing (GB) (Sepoy {Aus}). Her dam, Alpen Glen (GB), has also produced two other black-type horses, including Montalbano (GB) and Glade (GB). This is the maternal family of stallions National Defense (GB) and Helmet (Aus).

Among the stallions represented, Muhaarar (GB) will have several youngsters on offer, including Lot 74, a filly out of Joubachope, whose dam is the sister to Chopastair (Fr); Lot 79, a filly out of Killi (Ire), who is out of a Group 2 winner and is a sister to three black-type horses; and Lot 83, a filly out of Mercifilly (Fr), a sister to four black-type horses.

Inspections begin Oct. 13, starting at 9 a.m. and followed by Saturday, Oct. 14, commencing at 8:30 a.m.
