Malarchuk's dam is out of Canadian champion 3-year-old filly Catch the Ring (Seeking the Gold), who is responsible for another north of the border champion in Catch the Thrill (A.P. Indy). Also heading to the post for his first start is the Ken McPeek-trained Live to Ride (GB) (Kingman {GB}). The bay colt is a half-brother to G1 Prix du Moulin de Longchamp S. runner-up Wind Chimes (GB) (Mastercraftsman {Ire}).
