Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted October 10, 2018 Journalists Share Posted October 10, 2018 New Vocations is seeking owners and trainers of Breeders’ Cup contenders to pledge a percentage of their Championship earnings to support their mission to rehabilitate, retrain and rehome retired racehorses. This will be the ninth year for the fundraiser which has raised over $480,000 to date. “The need for our services continues to grow each year so we are continually faced with raising additional funds to keep up with that growth,” said Anna Ford, New Vocations Program Director. “I always look forward to this fundraiser as there are no overhead costs so 100% of the proceeds go directly to support our aftercare efforts. We spend a lot of time seeking pledges and then sit back and let the horses put on the show.” All of the Pledge information can be found at www.newvocations.org/breeders-cup-pledge/ or by contacting anna@horseadoption.com.
