Booth (c, 2, Mitole–Sophia's Song, by Bellamy Road) proved more than just good looks run in the family when the half-brother to GI Jockey Club Gold Cup hero Bright Future (Curlin) blitzed out of the gate in Keeneland's night cap, and never gave the rest of the field a chance en route to securing 'TDN Rising Star' honors. After setting all the fractions of :22.45, a half in :45.08 and :57.05 coming into the stretch, he sailed home much the best to stop the clock in 1:10.23. He becomes Mitole's second runner to gain the TDN stamp of approval. Nash (Medaglia d'Oro) could only chase him around after the jump and settled for second.

#7 BOOTH ($12.20) looked a lot like his sire, @spendthriftfarm's Mitole, when winning his debut in wire-to-wire fashion in the finale at Keeneland.
