Sandy Bottom (f, 2, Omaha Beach–Starlit Daydream, by Can the Man), a sharp, front-running debut winner at Del Mar Sept. 10, was sent to the lead from her rail draw and made every pole a winning one in Saturday's six-furlong $85,000 Anoakia S. at Santa Anita. The 6-5 favorite crossed the wire a length clear of Tambo (Enticed). Sandy Bottom becomes the second black-type winner for her freshman sire (by War Front).
