Due to slippery track apparently

What a great judge of which tracks to retain that J Messara is!

can  you please get your  facts right , it was a sprinkler on track that malfunctioned ,  and said jockey  who reported it went to same spot  both times   and   spread egaled the horse , also the same sprinkler   had not been   working well for last few day

Well doesn't that say it all - "....a sprinkler on the tract...malfunctioned" and "had not been working well for the last few days"?

Did someone turn it on remotely?

Well are they abandoned or not?  And is a slippery track the issue?

And if the problem is a sprinkler malfunction then who was responsible for making sure it was working correctly?   Because according to Messara these 'retain' tracks are the creme de la creme of NZ racing and much the best run so who  is going to put their hand up ESPECIALLY given they, based in your claims, knew this has been a problem for the last few days.  Why did they not check that the part of the track was safe early this morning so they could cancel before everyone left home?

Who will pay the  float fees for all the 150 plus horses carted there today?

as  for track they  said  it was fine,   until a jockey  took they horse a open horse to wide

rest of trac was fine ( sprinklers had not been used as much  at the club   but  they had been working to improve  all them  for better coverage when the error was found by  new course manger

So was it malfunctioning or not for the last few days?  Normally an irrigation system has ONE tap well away from any sprinkler.  Was it left on?

no  sounds like it  drained out from the bottom  , as  they had been  trying to work out what the problem was  as  i believe very little water was coming from the  spinkler that was affected  till last night

Please don't talk about leaks and the National Party in the same thread.  We know how that scenario plays out ... and it's even less of a happy ending than one abandoned set of trials at Te Aroha .... ?
