Saudi Crown (c, 4, Always Dreaming–New Narration, by Tapit), winner of last term's GI Pennsylvania Derby, punched his ticket to next month's $20-million G1 Saudi Cup with a facile wire-to-wire victory as the 3-5 favorite in Saturday's GIII Louisiana S. at Fair Grounds.

It was 5 3/4 lengths back to Red Route One (Gun Runner) in second; Happy American (Runhappy) was third.

The final time for 1 1/16 miles was 1:43.20.

Saudi Crown tired to finish 10th last time out in the GI Breeders' Cup Classic at Santa Anita Nov. 4.

Lifetime Record: 7-4-2-0.

Sales history: $45,000 yrl '21 KEEJAN; $240,000 2yo '22 OBSAPR.
