Any idea why the normal maiden at Wanganui on Friday races for $25,000 while the maiden 3yos race for $18,500? Seems strange.

Might be a mistake? It was advertised for 25k in the programme booklet but 18.5 in the RPG. Definitely a bit odd.

Wanganui a feature meeting and stakes reflect that.

$25,000 for maidens.

If extra races added around nomination time the stake for that added race may initially default to the minimum stake in some instances until the new programme for day upgraded and confirmed.

This was not an added race. It was in the original programme.

OK....Correct....the extra Maiden race was added to Taranaki on Saturday , and at Wanganui an extra r65 race for $40k was added.

IMO ,for connections this is quite impressive and certainly much appreciated.
