Cyril Posted March 4, 2024 Posted March 4, 2024 The two names are inseparable. But I have been wondering about the future. Will White Robe still be the big player/backer? No one can ever replace the enormity of Brian Anderton, but wonder what the plans are going ahead. Otago sort of needs them. Quote
billy connolly Posted March 4, 2024 Posted March 4, 2024 He has a few children and one of his daughters is running the stud from memory, but you're right Anderton senior ate, breathed and slept horses so his family have big shoes to fill. Quote
TAB For Ever Posted March 4, 2024 Posted March 4, 2024 Certainly the Anderton clan has been the 'colossus' in that Otago region which seems to have let their other strengths and personalities drift away. But "BJ" has stood tall as a jockey, trainer , committee man , track preparer etc thats apart from his iconic and very successful stud White Robe . More than anybody ,ever ...BJ has kept the region afloat . Hopefully some family can keep it going ! Quote
