Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted March 30, 2024 Journalists Posted March 30, 2024 Lea Farms' Power Squeeze (f, 3, Union Rags–Callmethesqueeze, by Awesome Again) surged past favored Ways and Means (Practical Joke) in the final strides to upset the GII Gulfstream Park Oaks in Hallandale Saturday. The 11-1 shot rated just in behind pacesetting Into Champagne (Into Mischief), both of whom escaped the first-turn traffic jam that shuffled Ways and Means back in the pack. The favorite powered up the middle of the course to contest the pace midway down the backstretch and all the eyes were on her as she took the lead at the top of the lane, but Power Squeeze was closing relentlessly and reeled in that foe late to secure a 3/4-length victory. The time for the 1 1/16 miles was 1:44.19. An 11-1 upset by #1 POWER SQUEEZE in the $250,000 Gulfstream Park Oaks (G2) Presented by FanDuel TV!
