Fasig-Tipton-Winner-Logo.jpgDenim and Pearls (f, 3, Into Mischief–Majestic Presence, by Majestic Warrior) was making her first appearance against Graded company, but she looked like a seasoned pro as the daughter of Into Mischief sailed home to win the GII Beaumont with ease.

Breaking well and content to watch as a longshot put up the early fractions, Denim and Pearls was swung to the outside of even-money favorite Youalmosthadme (Oxbow) late on the bend when that one started her bid for the front. When the pacesetter threw up the white flag on the rail, the betting choice took over the lead but the eventual winner was looming as the danger via the overland route. Denim and Pearls caught a wicked second wind entering the lane and disappeared from the field to win with air to spare. Harbor Springs (Lookin At Lucky), entered in the race on the back of a six-length maiden romp, overtook Youalmosthadme for second while that one held on to third. The final time was 1:26.54.
