Exiting the outside gate, the 3-1 favorite rocketed to the lead and held sway around the far turn. Long Neck Paula heard a few footsteps behind her down the lane, but she kept to the task and won by three lengths over fellow firster Minty (McKinzie). The final running time was :51.56.
