Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted May 12, 2024 Journalists Posted May 12, 2024 With a 'frog strangler' at Lone Star Park, Glee (Honor A.P.–Red Tabby, by Bluegrass Cat) beat the boys over the slop to break her maiden at first asking and in the process handed her freshman sire the second win of his stallion career. The 2-year-old broke well from the outside gate and angled over to take the lead up the backstretch. Glee was followed closely by Big Rasee (Clearly Now), but the filly did not back down around the far turn. Splashing home a winner by multiple lengths, she got her picture taken after the strong opening statement. The Lane's End sire (by Honor Code) has 80 foals of racing age to his credit. The final running time was :52.58. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0. Sales History: $60,000 '23 FTKOCT. O-Mike G. Rutherford; B-No Escape Ranch (TX); T-Steve Asmussen.
