Clearly Unhinged Brings Up 150 Stakes Winners For Into Mischief in Winning Colors

Off as the 2-1 second favorite to build on a comebacking allowance victory in a five-furlong contest rained off the turf Apr. 30, Hill 'n' Dale Equine Holdings and Jarret Prussin's CLEARLY UNHINGED (f, 4, Into Mischief–Smart Win, by Smart Strike) attended torrid early fractions in Monday's GIII Winning Colors S. at Churchill Downs, but showed in front under a hold entering the turn and kept on undaunted to become the 150th Northern Hemisphere-foaled stakes winner and 75 graded winner for her all-conquering Spendthrift Farm-based stallion. Popped away from her low draw by Joel Rosario, Clearly Unhinged was actually beaten for speed by B G Warrior (Run Away and Hide) and was content to track that rival through an opening quarter in an eye-popping :21.02. Inheriting the lead when the early front-runner wilted right out of it, Clearly Unhinged raced on the bridle around the turn, remained under a patient hand ride after a half in a taxing :44.34 and had plenty in reserve for a first black-type success. Dazzling Blue, the 3-2 favorite, completed an Into Mischief exacta, while Unsung Melody (Maclean's Music) spiced up the deeper vertical exotics at 44-1. Lifetime Record: 9-4-2-1.
