Visit Dabble

Warwick Farm Racecourse is the destination for metro racing on Wednesday afternoon, with a competitive eight-part program set to get underway at 12:15pm local time. The rail is out +5m between the 1000m marker to winning post, while the remainder is out +3m. The weather in the lead-up should have the track in Good 4 condition; however, with plenty of rain forecast on the day, expect a downgrade into the Soft range at some stage.

Best Bet at Warwick Farm: Earth Dance

A timely midrace move at Gosford on May 16 gave Earth Dance his first Australian win. The Peter & Paul Snowden-trained import was given an expert steer by Joshua Parr, taking off in the middle stages to secure a dominant 1.5-length victory. Barrier seven should allow Parr to take up a spot somewhere mid-field with cover, and if the speed isn’t on, Earth Dance could dash away with the prize in this BM72 test.

Next Best at Warwick Farm: Inquiring Minds

Inquiring Minds narrowly justified the short price with online bookmakers when saluting at this course and distance on May 22. It was a nervy watch for punters, as the son of Kingman was exposed a long way from home and just scraped home under James McDonald. Nash Rawiller takes the reins this time, and with a similar setup for this progressive European import, Inquiring Minds looks to be too classy for this lot.

Next Best Again at Warwick Farm: Cosmonova

Cosmonova returns after a 138-day spell and brings an element of class to this BM64 contest. The daughter of Zoustar produced impressive back-to-back wins last campaign before Joseph Pride elected to send her to the paddock, and she doesn’t seem to have missed a step at the trials leading into this. She can hold a spot from barrier two, and provided she’s at her peak first-up, Cosmonova should prove hard to hold out.
