Strong Resemblance has had four attempts over fences but three of these came at the unique course of Cartmel and has had a couple of promising runs over hurdles since switching stables, following up a decent second at Ayr with a victory here at Huntingdon earlier in the month. He reverts back to the larger obstacles off a 4lbs lower mark at a more conventional track and this looks to be a winnable race so he is taken to get off the mark over fences and gain another victory for his new trainer.

Sargeant Brody won a point-to-point earlier in his career but hasn’t fired in two attempts over fences this autumn and Midnight Gem is still looking for her first chase victory despite thirteen prior attempts so the bigger danger looks to be Opechee who needs to prove his stamina over this trip but has won over the larger obstacles and was a decent second last time out.
