The recent Dee S. winner Capulet will leave Ballydoyle to continue his career in Hong Kong.

The son of Justify has been purchased privately by prominent owner Peter Lau, who has enjoyed phenomenal success with the globetrotting eight-time Group 1 winner Romantic Warrior (Ire) (Acclamation {GB}). It is believed that Capulet will join the stable of Romantic Warrior's trainer Danny Shum.

The agreement to purchase the colt was brokered by Newmarket-based Mark McStay of Avenue Bloodstock in partnership Hong Kong agent Eric Sze, who operates as Standard Bloodstock.

Confirming the deal to TDN on Thursday morning, McStay said, “Capulet is a very exciting horse going forward. His performances to date have been very impressive, particularly last time out at Chester.

“The owner Mr Lau, Eric and I had been following him closely and are delighted to have secured him from Coolmore. Justify as a sire has succeeded at the highest level globally and we are confident that he'll also make his mark with his runners in Hong Kong. Let's hope Capulet is very lucky for his new owner Mr Lau. I believe he is to be trained by Danny Shum.”

Bred by the Coolmore affiliate of Orpendale, Chelston and Wynatt, Capulet is out of the Galileo (Ire) mare Wedding Vow (Ire), a full-sister to the Derby winner Serpentine (Ire) who won the G2 Kilboy Estates S. and was runner-up in the G1 Nassau S. The 109-rated Capulet has won two of his five starts as well as placing in last year's G2 Juddmonte Royal Lodge S. And G2 Champions Juvenile S.
