Hong Kong racing returns to Sha Tin this Saturday afternoon, with an ultra-competitive 10-part program set for decision. The rail is in the C course for the meeting, and with the deluge of rain forecast to continue leading into the weekend, expect a yielding surface prior to the jump at 4pm local time.

Best Bet at Sha Tin: The Winnabe

The Winnabe was a dominant winner debuting at this track and trip on May 19 and should prove hard to beat again at the top of Class 4. He stalked his rivals every step of the way under Hugh Bowman before careering away with the prize, with only Super Infinity giving chase as the top two cleared out by four lengths back to third. Barrier one should allow a similar run in transit, and with The Winnabe still possessing plenty of upside, he should dispatch this lot.

Next Best at Sha Tin: Super Infinity

Super Infinity chased gallantly behind The Winnabe on May 19 and should take major benefit from his debut. The son of Star Witness sat worse than mid-field from barrier 11, and although Zac Purton managed to get cover throughout the journey, the three-year-old simply couldn’t match motors with the eventual winner. Watch for Purton to be positive from stall nine, and provided he can slot in for the top half of the field, Super Infinity can make amends second-up.

Best Value at Sha Tin: Call Me Supreme

Call Me Supreme is yet to find the frame in three starts this preparation but hasn’t had much luck. He was wide without cover the entire 1800m at Sha Tin on May 19, with the Michael Chang-trained gelding unable to get a breather in the middle stages. He hit the line well in his two starts prior, and provided Matthew Chadwick can manage to gain an economical run from the wide draw (10), Call Me Supreme can figure at an each-way price with online bookmakers.
