LHAKPA (IRE) (f, 2, Siyouni {Fr}–Enchanting Skies {Ire} {SP-Fr}, by Sea The Stars {Ire}) recovered from a sluggish exit to track the leaders in a share of fifth for most of this debutantes' heat. Making progress in the straight, the 3-1 favourite was stoked up approaching the final furlong and ridden out in the latter stages to defeat Time Goes On (GB) (Sergei Prokofiev) by a head in a bobbing finish. Lhakpa, a €650,000 Arqana August yearling, is the latest of two foals and second scorer produced by Listed Prix de Thiberville runner-up Enchanting Skies (Ire) (Sea The Stars {Ire}), herself a sale-topping €500,000 Baden-Baden September yearling in 2016.
