The eight-year-old triumphed in the race for the second time, marking a comeback five years after his earlier victory as a three-year-old in 2019. Despite securing a place in racing history with his Melbourne Cup win in the past, Vow And Declare won’t be aiming to repeat that feat in 2024. Matt Harrington, manager for trainer Danny O’Brien, mentioned that plans are underway for Vow And Declare’s races. Possible races lined up for Vow And Declare this spring include the Zipping Classic at Caulfield, which he conquered back in 2022. Harrington highlighted Vow And Declare’s recent win in the Tatts Cup as a testament to his enduring skill and talent.
