(Photo by Reg Ryan/Racing Photos) Despite still seeking his first win, Politely Dun, trained by Danny O’Brien, shares equal-favouritism with horse racing bookmakers for next season’s Group 1 VRC Derby (2500m) at +1000. He aims to bolster his reputation in Saturday’s Byerley Handicap (1800m) at Flemington after a promising third at Bendigo and a solid fifth in Listed company on July 6. O’Brien is optimistic about the gelding’s prospects over 1800 metres, stating, “He ran well at his two starts and it looks like the 1800 metres is going to suit him even better.” Damian Lane, set to ride him for the first time in a race, has impressed in trials. O’Brien expects further improvement, noting, “Whatever he does now will be a bonus as he’ll be a better horse next season.” Horse racing news View the full article
