Despite being taken off the grass at Saratoga on Sunday, the Bolton Landing Stakes yielded a promising winner as Kimchi Cat (Twirling Candy–Winter Dawn, by Sky Mesa) powered down the lane to get the hardware and collect her first black-type.

The juvenile filly, entered for the main track only, was a 3-1 shot here. Chasing the pace up the backstretch, the Tom Amoss trainee got into gear around the far turn and she rolled home a winner by three lengths. The final running time was 1:04.06. Longshot Icona Mama (Maximus Mischief) was second.

Lifetime Record: 3-2-1-0. Sales History: $185,000 '23 KEESEP.
