Fasig-Tipton-Winner-Logo.jpg'TDN Rising Star' CHANCER MCPATRICK (c, 2, McKinzie–Bernadreamy, by Bernardini) came flying down the center of the Saratoga track Monday to take the Closing Day feature, the GI Hopeful Stakes. Well off the speedy pair of Smoken Wicked (Bobby's Wicked One) and Mentee (City of Light), the 4-1 shot was second to last off the turn but really kicked in once unleashed for the money to get the win over 3-5 race favorite and fellow 'Rising Star' Ferocious (Flatter) who looked beaten at the top of the lane but showed good resolve to come home second. This is the graded stakes win and Grade I win for freshman sire McKinzie (by Street Sense). Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0.

O-Flanagan Racing; B-Rigney Racing LLC; T-Chad Brown. Sales History: $260,000 ylg '23 FTKJUL, $725,000 2yo '24 OBSAPR.
