Unraced since filling the trifecta in the Bourbonette Oaks in March, Alpine Princess (Classic Empire) made a triumphant return to the track Sunday night with a romp in the Remington Park Oaks. The daughter of Classic Empire seemed on the Road to the Kentucky Oaks late last year with back to back wins including a two-length score in the Untapable Stakes at Fair Grounds to end her juvenile campaign. Fourth on a sloppy track to start 2024 in the GII Rachel Alexandra Stakes, Alpine Princess switched to the Tapeta for that Turfway effort but went to the sidelines soon after for trainer Brad Cox. Resurfacing here as the 8-5 choice, Alpine Princess raced widest of a four-wide calvary charge on the lead down the backstretch. Always going well under Florent Geroux, who retook the mount after Luis Saez got aboard at Turfway, the favorite had enough speed to come spin off the turn alone and made it a one-horse procession down the stretch to win by nearly double digits.

One of 16 stakes winners for Classic Empire, Alpine Princess was a $190,000 KEESEP yearling for Full of Run Racing and the first foal out of a Curlin half-sister to MSW and GII Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint third Another Miracle (Americah Pharoah). Le Moine has a placed 2-year-old Mitole filly named Eliza Vance who was a $285,000 buy for Carolyn Wilson at OBS April this year and a weanling Game Winner filly. She was bred to Forte for next term.

👸 #9 ALPINE PRINCESS ($5.20) wins the $200,000 Remington Park Oaks with ease. @flothejock was in the irons for trainer @bradcoxracing.
