Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted October 4, 2024 Journalists Posted October 4, 2024 GI Spinaway Stakes winner IMMERSIVE (f, 2, Nyquist–Gap Year, by Bernardini) will head to Del Mar a two-time Grade I winner and still undefeated off a gusty performance in Friday's Opening Day feature at Keeneland, the GI Darley Alcibiades. In a race that featured the top three runners of that Saratoga feature, two of the three wound up on the board here with 'TDN Rising Star' Quietside (Malibu Moon) coming in third behind the determined stretch-rallying Quick Kick (McKinzie). Well positioned from the outside gate, Immersive stalked a pair of dueling leaders up the backstretch from third, came wide with a bid past the quarter pole and stayed safely away from Quick Kick to win at odds of 8-5. Lifetime Record: 3-3-0-0. O/B-Godolphin; T-Brad Cox. What a day for trainer @bradcoxracing!
