Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted October 6, 2024 Journalists Posted October 6, 2024 11-1 shot SCYTHIAN (f, 2, Tiz the Law–Dean Henry, by Empire Maker) came through along the rail to upset the GII Miss Grillo Stakes and earn a paid slot into the GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf. Forwardly placed in fourth, the maiden winner rode the rail as 17-1 shot Marvelous Madison (Caravaggio) led up the backstretch. As the top flight bunched up midway around the far turn, the leader bolted to the outside and taking both Grace and Grit (Munnings) and 7-2 shot Lavender Disaster (Into Mischief) with her. That left Scythian alone safely inside the drama and she stayed away to come in ahead of Virgin Colada (More Than Ready) in second. Freshman sire Tiz the Law (by Constitution) picked up his second graded stakes winner and second 'WAYI' earner of the weekend after Non Compliant took the GII Oak Leaf at Santa Anita Saturday. Lifetime Record: 3-2-1-0. O/B-Lawrence Goichman. T-Bill Mott. A #NYbred by the Empire State's own Tiz the Law just stamped her ticket to the @BreedersCup!
