GOVERNOR SAM (c, 2, Improbable–I'm Betty G, by Into Mischief) kept his momentum rolling, winning the Indian Summer Stakes at Keeneland Sunday. Now riding a three race win streak, the OBS April grad entered as the 8-5 favorite off wins in both the Tyro Stakes at Monmouth and the Exacta Systems Rosie's Stakes at Colonial last out. With first run past the quarter pole, he fought off a strong late charge from Out On Bail (Tiz the Law) to relegate that rival to second once more (the pair also ran one-two in the Rosie's). The win gave jockey Paco Lopez a milestone 4,000th career victory. Lifetime Record: 5-4-0-0.

O-Bregman Family Racing LLC and Swinbank Stables, LLC; B-Stoneriggs Farm; T-George Weaver. Sales History: $50,000 ylg '23 FTKOCT, $275,000 2yo '24 OBSAPR.
