Sack the RIU

After the incompetence at Taranaki, the only right option regarding the RIU is to remove all of them and start again.

They reported that J Waddell had reported his horse had dipped, really why did J Waddell have to report this incident? Stevie Wonder could have seen this incident, so the Stewards sent out the Course manager to inspect the track and they took advice from him and after consulting with him they allowed the meeting to continue. Why didn't the Stewards go and inspect the track, instead of listening to the course manager? Sheer incompetence in my opinion., as the Stewards are responsible for workplace safety for horse and riders.

Then in the next race, Stumpy fell, leaving T Allan with a broken arm and when you view the film, he was only inches from serious injury.

Worksafe NZ should be made aware of the incompetence in recent times of the RIU AND IT'S OFFICIALS.

The appalling behaviour by the RIU  is laughable if it wasn’t so serious.

Selective or non tC02 testing, questionable status  of P positive horses, extremely lenient jockey warnings ....what a joke...why is Tony Allan not suing them for providing an unsafe workplace.

As an owner I have no confidence and feel they are bringing the industry into disrepute. Who is policing the police?

The R.I.U needs to be completely restructured. From Its  very beginnings it was doomed with the  seriously  lack of Integrity.. Mike Godber with all of his power in my opinion is just so lacking the credentials to head this unit.   IT AINT FUNNY !!. The man is a Dickwit and needs to head back to Addington and run a sausage sizzle tent..

Heaven forbid if Tony Allan had been a fatal rather than a broken arm , could  the stewards of the day be charged with manslaughter .

Under the circumstances that happened that day you would think you could have a fair crack .

Does not matter who you are everyone should be held accountable for their actions or decisions

That seems to be the overwhelming issue with NZ racing.....forget Messara Report, forget the TAB overhaul and new platforms.....this is the greatest issue facing the industry...accountability or should I say, lack of accountability.

if there was accountability do you think the industry would be in the irrecoverable mess it finds it self in?

Yes here's the problem. No leadership. RIU running around like a chook with its head chopped off. The guy comes across like a bumbling fool. He can't be that stupid, shirley? However, a job in a back room, not having to make decisions or public statements...thats the job for you Mike.

Far to generous ,  baking scones for the participants who have been unduly crucified by your enept policy and ability to get it right .

Aren’t  some of your cases still ongoing after 18 months .

Would hate to see you all working in the real world

Common Senses , where’s that gone within the RIU .

Or  maybe its never been there.
