Fasig-Tipton-Winner-Logo.jpgShe needed wings to do it. Soul of an Angel (m, 5, Atreides–Factor One, by the Factor), dead last by open lengths from the first jump, stormed up the outside to secure an upset victory at odds of 19-1 in the GI PNC Bank Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint. Double-digit lengths behind the field nearly the entire way up the backstretch, the GIII Princess Rooney winner found momentum around the far turn and just kept coming up the outside as a host of rivals battled it out in in a driving finish. Best only in the final strides, Soul of an Angel nailed Society (Gun Runner) and Pleasant (Munnings) completed the trifecta. Lifetime Record: 40-5-7-5.
