Irish National Stud Announce Thoroughbred Breeding Management Class of 2025

The Irish National Stud (INS) today announced its Thoroughbred Breeding Management Class of 2025, featuring 26 students from eight different countries–Ireland, the UK, France, Sweden, the United States, Colombia, Australia and South Africa.

The six-month residential course begins in January and provides students with hands-on training and lectures covering all aspects of Thoroughbred breeding. The curriculum spans key subjects such as reproductive anatomy and physiology, mare and stallion management, foaling procedures, equine nutrition, equine business, and farm management. The programme is designed to ensures that graduates are well-prepared to meet the evolving needs of the industry.

“We continue to be impressed by the high calibre of applicants each year, and the Class of 2025 is no exception,” said Anne Channon, education manager at the INS. “As the Thoroughbred Breeding industry evolves, equipping the next generation with the skills and knowledge to lead the industry forward is essential. We look forward to welcoming the group to the INS in January.”

The Class of 2025 are as follows: Ava Banahan (Ireland), Martin Bozo (France), Luke Buchanan (Australia), Tara Carroll (Ireland), Claire Dilger (USA), Patrick Doyle (Ireland), Chloe De Salvador (France), Claire Hillebrand (USA), Jordan Kidd (Ireland), Peter Leavy (Ireland), Caroline Madden (USA), Raph McCall (UK), Josefina Montaya (Colombia), Ninga Ntshangase (South Africa), Sarahjane O'Byrne (Ireland), Luke O'Neill (Ireland), Aine O'Rourke (USA), George Palin (UK), Lea Petit (France), Eric Resendiz (USA), Sarah Rohan (Ireland), Elle Sorensen (Ireland), Moa Sundstrom (Sweden), Madeleine St Ledger (Australia), Sam Thompson (Australia) and Conor Wafer (Ireland).
