How can a track be a Good 4 with a moisture reading of 30.9% yet on raceday a Soft 5 with a moisture reading of 30.6%?

According to the moisture meter data the track got drier yet the rating is softer?  Did the grass grow two inches or something?

No penetromer numbers either.

The moisture readings are a crock of shit

When the 'ratings' are related to the actual penotrometer readings why don't they give the pen readings?

Oz give you, shear, moisture and pen.

Under the new Oz rating system an H10 can have a difference of over 80 lengths and punter's are required to guess how much rain has fallen to differentiate between an H 10 that's 'Holding" and/or Loose
