The Spring Racing Carnivals in Australia would suggest otherwise.  The "social license" construct is just that - a social construct that doesn't actually have much factual evidence to support it.  There never was 100% support of Racing.  There doesn't need to be.   As the election of Trump has shown the majority are sick and tired of woke politics and the elite left trying to tell us what is right and wrong.

So I'm supposing you'd support Kurtis Pertab's disciplining of his 'out of control' horse that got him 4 months  DQ , where he did EXACTLY what a jockey does in using the whip in a race

"He was witnessed striking it excessively with the whip around the side of the belly, flank and across the shoulder, continuing for probably a good couple of minutes and estimated to have been 10 to 20 strikes of the whip."

So "belly, flank, shoulder" virtually what they do in a race and @ 13/14 strikes racked up by a jockey into whipping

Why aren't they getting DQ'd every day?
