In the absence of any other measure the moisture reading is worthless. Supplying the penetrometer readings alongside the moisture readings would provide some measureable correlation. As you mentioned in a post a wee while ago there is no point in using them in any form analysis. The Trentham meeting a couple of meetings ago was a classic.
