Gammalite
18 hours ago, TAB For Ever said: Thanks Gamma....I'm just a lucky person ! Had it been a test of skill I would be in the hunt as usually provide stiff opposition for any 'average talents'. !!!!!!!! Modest too ! Certainly enjoyed watching the big races last night...our syndicate had a Hunter Cup runner back in the day , and had a Group 3 winner at both Melton and Menangle in more recent times so familiar with the tracks ! Yes , that is so great having some Luck in Life. You are surely nearly the luckiest around . (By getting to enjoy both the terrific worlds of racing and Harness racing along the way , with the amazing animals and the thrills they give along the way. In fact ALL the posters on here and racing NZ and Oz forums are in the top 1 % > of the Top 1 % of All People on the planet, as they not only get to enjoy the racing, but Enjoy Life in 2 of the Top 10 'Ranked' countries for quality of Life, in the World. NZ is Number one holiday destination for some , but a great place to retire as well. Hey TABman >> With some success in the racing with some Group 3's there , and probably some nice gallopers , you might be in the top 1% of the 1% of the 1% 🤣🤣 (probably a Sir Edmund Hilary relative or something ? high up the mountain lol 😂. I missed out having or driving a Group horse at all alas, battling in the back-blocks, but feel lucky still with being a part of the great sport for quite some time , and wishing it well and even in it's (harness racing) twilight years still can see and enjoy a few things. but I do get AFL as national sport which is a bit better than rugby lol 🏆😉 Brissy won too 🦁 NZ and Aus citizens the luckiest on the planet if they just sat back with a beer and pondered on it, especially those enjoying the racing , or bothering to post on the forums to encourage the sport in their own way , whether it be a bet or just some thoughts / or memories (as that is part of heritage) and even some involvement going forward. mmmm . now I wonder if Chief will buy me a yearling at the sales so I can get Group 3 status ? 👍💰🏇😁 think I need some black print in my twilight years 💰🤣
TAB For Ever
Good on ya Gamma , keep up your hopeful and positive contributions. Plenty good to enjoy in Australia /NZ Racing , both codes , plus a lot of great sporting rivalries to enjoy . Long may it continue . Dunno how the upcoming sales will go , but getting a small share in a well bred horse is still affordable , as syndicators are selling smaller and smaller pieces of each horse. Plus the TAB has purchased about 20 x horses in past two years and thru their racing club offer 'ownership' experiences to different folk each week. They just started racing and had some success. Other bigger syndicators are very generous to to their investors.....Lincoln generally 'guarantee' a win so if you get a dud they switch you into another one ! I see they have 12 or 13 of only 65 horses racing at Auckland this Friday. The ATC having a real struggle with lack of horses...and to think Dean ,Jean ,Merv and Yabba involved in quite a few ! Meanwhile Aussies just love our tried horses ,I note Triple Eight edging up to a million bucks in stakes ! Have a great 2025 and hope you not close to the Queensland floods !
