This week's column is highlighted by the victory of Hello Youmzain's Lying By Omission at Tampa Bay Downs. Hello Youmzain Filly Stars At Tampa It was a Chad Brown-trained one-two in the 10th race at Tampa Bay Downs on Feb. 8, with Lying By Omission (Ire) (Hello Youmzain {Fr}) besting Portfolio Duration (GB) (Night Of Thunder {Ire}) (video). The €65,000 Arqana October yearling purchase was bred by Skymarc Farm. She was bought by Mandore International Agency on behalf of Madaket Stables. Out of the Nayef mare Sounaya (Ger), the filly is raced by Bridlewood Farm, e Five Racing Thoroughbreds, Madaket, and Michael Dubb. The winning dam, a half-sister to two stakes winners including group scorer and G1 Deutsches Derby runner-up Savoir Vivre (Ire) (Adlerflug {Ger}), is also responsible for the Listed Criterium du Bequet Ventes Osarus-placed Souzak (Fr), by Hello Youmzain's sire Kodiac (GB). Her granddam, Soudaine (Ger) (Monsun {Ger}), won a pair of listed races and was also third in the G3 Grosser Preis der Helaba Hessen Pokal. Lying By Omission is also kin to American champion and Group 1 producer Stacelita (Fr) (Monsun {Ger}). Hara d'Etreham's star second-crop sire Hello Youmzain has a 50% strike rate in the U.S., with Lying By Omission his second runner and first winner in that jurisdiction. Worldwide, his best runners have been the Group 3 winners Misunderstood (Fr) and Electrolyte (Ire).
